Dilip and Mala are in love with each other and want to spend the rest of their lives in each other's company. However, Mala's father wants Dilip to become a rich man, just like him binorder to ask his daughter's hand for marriage. Dilip works hard, becomes a rich man and returns to marry Mala but to his dismay he finds out that Mala has already married his best friend. A chain of events brings Mala and Dilip together at a guest house. Old memories rekindle the spark of love and Dilip requests Mala to break the matrimonial bond and marry him. Will Mala accept Dilip's proposal?
