Sunder (Govinda) comes to a big city and finds it difficult to adjust. While struggling to settle, he befriends an NRI, Payal Khurana (Rani Mukherjee), who is undertaking classical dance training where she has to study deaf and mute people to learn how they convey emotions through expressions. Payal is under the impression that Sunder is deaf and mute. Sunder keeps mum as he realizes that he is in love with Payal. What will happen when Payal learns the truth? Will Sunder ever 'voice' his true feelings?
